My Boyfriend's Back
July 12
Who's checking in
Vincent is looking for a new ad campaign, so a dictatorial
ad exec shows up with Kate, his exploited assistant. American Idol songstress Jasmine Trias makes an appearance, and Kendall,
a naïve, rich widow, shows up with the man who swept her off her feet – Roy, Tessa's former partner in crime.
Ulterior motives
Vincent is springing for the new ad campaign because he's sure
Walter Booth, ruthless hotel magnate and Nicole's father, has his eye on the hotel. As Morgan, Nicole's fiancé, is also Booth's
director of acquisitions, it sounds like the paranoia is justified. Jason thinks Nicole must be in on it, and confronts her.
Nicole slaps him for doubting her honor. Meanwhile, Tessa confronts Roy – is he the hotel bandit, who's been roughing
up and robbing tourists at other swanky hotels on the island? She threatens to call the cops, but Roy dismisses her –
he'll tell the cops about her past. He proposes robbing Kendall of her jewels, then taking off together.
The adman cometh
The ad guy bosses everyone around, steals his assistant's ideas,
then swans off to soak up some rays – without benefit of sunscreen. Mistake. Frankie convinces Kate to take over the
presentation while he's incapacitated by sunburn. Jason loves the pitch, but is surprised Kate is so young. Kate lies that
she's a partner with Obnoxious Ad Guy. Kate tries to tell Jason the truth before presenting to Vincent, but they run into
Ad Guy, who's gotten enough aloe vera to be mobile again. He belittles her and sends her packing. Later, Jason quizzes Kate
and realizes that it really is her campaign. Kate presents the campaign to Vincent. He loves it, and she's hired.
Con job
Roy tries to convince Tessa to help him rip off Kendall – they
get romantic, which seems to convince Tessa to play along. She tries to get a safecracker (a tool that lets you open all the
hotel safes), but only security can use it. When she tells Roy, he tells her to steal it. Instead, Tessa tries to warn Kendall,
but Roy walks in. He convinces Kendall that's Tessa is a deranged stalker, and Kendall is so apologetic for doubting him that
she shows him the code to the safe. But that was all part of Roy and Tessa's plan!
Date from hell
MJ and Chris go off on horseback to find a secluded beach. They
get lost and stumble across a marijuana field. The growers aren't happy – they imprison the two in a storage shed. They
can't get out, so they decide to share life stories. That leads to mooching, which is interrupted by the arrival of the guy
in charge. MJ and Chris fear they're going to get whacked, but surprise! Drug lord is a friend of MJ's from high school! When
you grow up on the island, you get to know just about everyone. He lets them go, they finally find their beach, and get passionate
in the surf.
The perfect man?
Morgan is all sweetness and light to Nicole, but he's less
cuddly with everyone else. He tells Jason to stay away from Nicole, and obliquely admits to Vincent that he's here to case
the hotel. When Nicole asks why he's here, however, he says it was just for her.
Moment of truth
Vincent is suspicious of Tessa, and tells her to come clean.
Her story doesn't wash – he fires her. Tessa convinces Roy to break into the safe now, since she has nothing left to
stay here for. He does, but as they try to make their getaway, security arrives. Vincent and Tessa set him up! Turns out she
told him everything, and Vincent decided to use her to catch the thief. He tells Tessa she still has her job, but she has
to stay clean.
Revelations
Jason asks Vincent about using Nicole as a pawn in his game against
Booth. Vincent reveals he knew Jason was Nicole's ex. Yes, he's using them all. Jason can't catch a break – he tries
to hit on Kate, but she's already made plans with Frankie. Tessa meets with Kendall – they were partners for this particular
con. Kendall played the easy mark, tempting Roy to slip up in the hotel and get him out of Tessa's hair. Plus, they get to
split the money they stole from Roy and the reward for the hotel bandit.
